As the first step to a larger project called "Redwood Zoo", this project was an exploration of a series of icons to be used in a way-finding map design for a fictional zoo. I chose nine animals to be included on the map and developed these symbols. The design concept in mind was to take these symbols to an abstract level yet still have an element of recognition for each animal.
